Christmas - Chalet [Part 2]
Well, it started on Monday. 21st December. =)I went for Chalet. But only stay for the day. Hahas. And you are not mistaken! I'm in Baju Kurong. Why? Because we were previously from a wedding. My previous neighbour got married. My sister practically grew up with them. But I have no recollection of them what so ever. Hahaha. I was probably too young to have retained any memory. =) We ate at BBQ Chicken. Its a Korean restaurant. Sort of. Not really lor. Hahas. Its just normal chicken fried. But some of their food are pretty good. Anyway, my father paid for the food. Thanks daddy! =) Sorry if the posts are pretty short and the pictures are very very cramped up. But I had to do so because my photobucket is killing me. As you can see, sometimes the loading the pictures are seriously slow now. So, I'm going to edit my photos using powerpoint and cropping etc then upload using blogger straight. So no more photobucket first. Feel free to grab the photos still. If it still loads on you. Sorry for the inconvenience. And thanks loads for the patience. Hehe. Christmas - Preparations [Part 1]
Ok, now this is a long list of posts coming up. Hahas. I know I've not been updating and all. But I'm going to start off with the christmas preparations. All the wrapping and definitely the shopping. =)To start off, let me tell you that I went for around 6 or 7 trips back and forth to places. The most frequent places were Giant, VivoCity and Ikea. =) And let's just say I spent too much on some stuff. Hahahas. Say for example, the mini presents that I was giving my friends. I wrapped around 42 pieces of these. Its a bag. >.<" So much right? I was giving them Pegs, Hersheys Kisses, A mini card inside and Candy Cane. =) But then I found out that they were going to have a Guides BBQ. So I felt obliged to do for everyone. -.- So I did around 30+ of these bags as well. But only to find out that less than 15 people were attending. >.<" ARGH. But, I gave loads to everyone. Practically free flow for them during the BBQ. Hahas. Ok, I'm going to the next post already. Hahas. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas '08!

Black Shawl [Below $10] You know I thought my Christmas List was going to be filled with materialistic things, like clothes and all that. But, looks like I've revert back my passion with books. Hahahas. My schedule is already packed with things on the week of Christmas. And I'm not even Christian. -.- Oh wells, this is quite an international thing. It seems that people in Singapore celebrate almost EVERY holiday. Don't you think so? But Christmas is more universal it seems. CIAO! If I were a Boy - Beyonce . R Kelly
If I were a boy Even just for a day Id roll outta bed in the morning And throw on what I wanted then go Drink beer with the guys And chase after girls Id kick it with who I wated And Id never get confronted for it. Cause theyd stick up for me. [Chorus] If I were a boy I think I could understand How it feels to love a girl I swear Id be a better man. Id listen to her Cause I know how it hurts When you lose the one you wanted Cause hes taken you for granted And everything you had got destroyed If I were a boy I could turn off my phone Tell evveryone its broken So theyd think that I was sleepin alone Id put myself first And make the rules as I go Cause I know that shed be faithful Waitin for me to come home (to come home) (Chorus) Its a little too late for you to come back Say its just a mistake Think Id forgive you like that If you thought I would wait for you You thought wrong (Chorus) But youre just a boy You dont understand Yeah you dont understand How it feels to love a girl someday You wish you were a better man You dont listen to her You dont care how it hurts Until you lose the one you wanted Cause youve taken her for granted And everything you have got destroyed But youre just a boy - Beyonce Knowles Lyrics Anyway, this is the two take on both songs. I only knew of the first version. The one solely sang by Beyonce. Well, its definitely the point of view of a girl thinking she's a guy, while the second version is more of an argument between the two parties. I like the second version more. I think RKelly did very well in mixing both the parts of the male and female. And I must say, R Kelly's part did more justice to the male's feelings. While Beyonce seems to be berating guys. BUT, I don't agree on some parts of the R Kelly's version. Oh well. I hope you enjoy the song. Its a new song in the Singapore scene. But, definitely a top 10 number in the UK already. LOLS. Singapore, so slow. Please tell me your thoughts and which version you like better. =) And please check out the Circus song of Britney which was out quite a long time ago. But, singaporeans are still on the womaniser song. But, I think I like Womaniser better though. And thanks yuanting for introducing me the song 'If I were a boy' Beyonce version. I found the R Kelly one by accident. Hahahas. See you! Ben & Jerry's Chunk Festival '08
Loads of photos for this!No one was free to accompany me. Sad to say. So much for having loads of friends. But I did go. Because I wanted to! I went with my sister and her boyfriend. Poor me. It started out in Macdonalds, met with Syimah (my sister's best friend) and some of her friends came as well. And so we headed over there. =) The walk was pretty long. The staircases were a bore. Hahahas. Nonetheless.. We arrived... It doesn't look like a lot of people. I know. We arrived around 4 or so. Now you see.. LOLS.. Well, everyone was fascinated with this actually. Hahas. They are actually foam bubbles. And it generates from a machine. And its being released every few minutes. I manage to catch a few pictures when it was flying. =) Love my camera! (My parent's one) The queues were deplorable. Kenrick whom we met that day told us the queue was almost an hour's long and we toss the idea of going for the 12 US flavours. Not too much of the queue fan. Hahas. We did queue for the sorbet around 10 minutes or so. We ordered a mediun Mango Mango Sorbet. NICE! $8.00. LOLS. Looks nice? Hehe. Syimah and her friends also bought one. Large Jamaica Me Crazy, Lemonade and Strawberry Kiwi. All the flavours are nice. But, I like the Jamaica Me Crazy one the best. =) That is the stage. They have it to entertain people. And also to give free ice cream when you participate. =) One of the games was to dance non stop and enthusiastically of course. The indian boy is a defnite winner. Hahahahas. I took it while I was way way far from the stage. Isn't the camera great? Hahahas. The empty cup. =) They have these things stuck around the place. I have to say the decor is fantastic there. Anyways, they also have this stuck to the ground. Cute huh? BUT.. We just had to pluck it out. Hahahahas. LOLS. And I was having the time of my life taking so much pictures. Hehe. This is syimah by the way. LOLs. One of my favourite pictures of the day. Hehe. Of course I took it. -.- Last few photos of myself before leaving the place. Hehe.. Singapore Museum Then, we headed to the Singapore Museum. Because it's on the way back to Plaza Singapura to go our own way. Can you see me? Hahahas. NICE! Some of my favourite shots from the place. This is the dome at the main entrance. I like this shot. =) Ok, we've lingered long enough here. Hahahas. Anyway, we separated from my Syimah and her friends. We headed to Habour Front to eat our dinner and to separate again for my Christmas shopping. But I think I will post all that later in another post. Hehe. =) Hak Bun's Brief Return
Hmmm, most people were not free on that day. As it was a Thursday, they were all busy for their common tests and end of year projects. Only these few managed to come out of that. Except for Caixin and me who has finished everything else.Me and caixin went and buy the cake at BreadTalk and we went to the Cathay to eat there. Well, the rest were eating as they realise that they were hungry. (It wasn't part of the plan) But we ate anyway, the place is pretty awesome. Hahahas. The price is cheaper than most Japanese places but I wouldn't say cheap. But I love the ambience and system that they do. You go around these counter thingin' (the sushi costs 99cents) and you grab sticks of your order. Lke they have a picture of something, and you just grab if you like it. It goes for the drinks as well. Well, the only thing I see that they can do is those displays that you see in Waraku. Oh wells, we took the sticks and placed them in a container and just put it at the counter and they will process our orders. Pretty cool huh? Then, the orders came. I ordered tako yaki. I wasn't very hungry. But I ate two sushi. Well, the boys were more hungry than me. Alex ordered this chicken teriyaki thingin with rice. The rice is practically cooked inside this grey stoned pot. (no pictures :( ) And the pot was still hot. And it kept the rice hot and warm throughout the whole eating process. =) Then, hakbun ordered soft shell crab. It was ok.. But, I prefer the crabs to be smaller. LOLS. I like the ones from Sakae though. And he also ordered this clams thingin' but I think its scallop. It sure taste like it. Confirm. Then, caixin ordered tako yaki again. -.- Hahahas. I think he saw me eat. LOLs. Anyway, he also ordered this prawn fried thing. Surprisingly, I ate that. Hahahas. But it was coated with the tempura flour. And it was nice and crispy and hot on the inside. Then Giolinni asked the person to bring in the cake. Nice right... We only have the cake and the raspberry. BUT... the restaurant actually gave us all the oreos and chocolate syrub on top. So nice... Gio told us we should definitely come back. Hahahas. The cake ws mango. It was ok.. LOLs. Hak Bun gave everyone some to eat with two oreos. (i keep spelling oreo as orea. So much easier to type. Hahahas.) And HakBun foot the bill. THANKS LOADS!!! hehe. [cheeky smile] Then.. We went to watch the movie 'Bolt'. Brief story plot: its this dog that thinks he's a dog with super powers. And he has an owner who's a small little girl voice by Miley Cyrus. The dog is John Travolta. [Awesome!] Anyway, so he thought that his owner got kidnapped and he must save her. However, what he doesn't realise is actually he is a superstar. He's actually acting and all that. My opinion: I think the story is pretty cute. I realise it was Miley cyrus along the way. I have no idea what so ever when I went to watch the movie. I didn't even know the storyline. Well, Travolta was awesome. Hahahas. Anyway, the story has some really good funny moments in it. I would recommend for you to watch it. But for those who don't think animation is a good thing to waste money on. Then, don't watch. Rating: 3.75 stars (I don't know whether to settle for 4 or 3.5. Hahahas) Its not as awesome as Kungfu Panda though. But be sure to catch it anyway. This part is probably the funniest part. Hahahas. Lets see, the Pigeon was trying to explain to his friends that he has seen this dog before. But he just don't know where... And He keeps stalling and all that. While the bus with the Bolt advertisement came along and NO ONE realises. Hahahas. Its pretty funny. If you watch it then you'll understand. LOLs. We were in the bus. Going home at around 12. Oh wells. That's all! =) Credits: Disney for Pictures. =) LINK |
